The number one goal as a teacher is to maximize the physical abilities of my students. Golf is a game that is meant for enjoyment. It is not fun if a golfer cannot consistently make solid contact and effectively progress the ball in the desired direction. It is my goal as a PGA Teaching professional to adjust the swing of my students to correct any problems with ball flight. My entire teaching philosophy revolves around a free arm swing. Aside from a proper grip, aim, posture, and ball position, a free arm swing is the single most important element in the swing. Iím sure everybody has heard the term of big muscles (shoulders and chest) and little muscles (hands), I work to get my students to links the two together by creating good arm flow. The body turns and shifts to support the movement of the arms.
